In this six-month program, senior teacher Hart Lazer will cover key topics to help answer your teaching questions and sharpen your teaching skills. This course is designed to help you to refine your skills in sequencing, lesson planning, and language techniques for better communication in your classes. We will have the opportunity to teach to each other and learn in a group environment.
Month 1(10/15-16): Sequencing, lesson planning and long term student development.
Month 2(11/2): Why our personal practice matters and how it makes us a better teacher.
Month 3(12/7): Hands-on adjustments in standing and seated forward-bending postures.
Month 4(2023/1/11): Hands-on adjustments in backbend and seated twist postures.
Month 5 (2023/2/8): Subtle adjustments and precise breathing instructions in restorative yoga practice.
Month 6 (2023/3/4-5): Teaching practicum to integrate new learning and solve common problems.
Suitable for:
- Completed a recognized 200-hr yoga teacher-training program.
- Current teachers with at least 3 years of teaching experience
- Current teachers who often think of giving up on teaching

Hart Lazer is co-owner of United Yoga Montreal and internationally recognized as a teacher of yoga teachers. Systematic, profound, thorough, sensitive and challenging, he is a master at teaching the mechanics of asana, having studied closely with Iyengar teacher Ramanand Patel for many years and undertaken a serious study of Ashtanga yoga. Hart Lazer offers his students the experience gained from his unique life story, from boyhood in a Jewish rabbinical school through a career in counseling and over 40 years as a yoga teacher and practitioner. In recent years Hart has explored the effects of Buddhism, yoga and trauma on the body and has developed a multi-dimensional approach to working with human difficulties.
